In last week’s Board of Governors meeting, the State System again presented only one decade of enrollment data, depicting a downward enrollment trend. APSCUF President Dr. Jamie Martin spoke up, pointing out that looking at enrollment over a longer period tells a different story:

β€œI appreciate the trend information that has been presented, looking at the enrollment trends since 2010,” Martin said. β€œThe concern we have is that that was the highest enrollment our State System has ever had, and we had a similar linear trend line from 2000 to 2010, where our enrollments grew. So, if you look at a 20-year trend, you’re going to see a perfectly normal bell curve, where we had similar numbers of students in 2000 as we do now and a similar number of faculty then as we do now.”
