Professor Jeffrey Weber, Chair of the Political Science Department at East Stroudsburg University, exposes the reality of the budget and a possible alternative in an op-ed in the Morning Call.

““To keep functioning, the state system will be forced to impose double-digit tuition increases, student fee increases, lay off faculty and staff, and eliminate programs. If tuition rates and student fees are not raised, the only other alternative is to shut down entire campuses of the state system. Either alternative would increase the burden on those going to college, while decreasing the higher education opportunities in Pennsylvania.””
